    You think Monday SUX?!

    Wellllllllllll- Monday may suck for some of you guys but it's MY Friday! I'm off on Tuesday & Wednesdays, so I rather look forward to Stinky ol' Monday! I do wish I could get a weekend off every now & then so I could chill with my friends & family. Everybody is out doing stuff & there I sit... behind a desk... type, type, typing away............... (sigh)

    How do you explain RACE to a 4 year old?

    So my daughter is noticing that people are different colors, she's 4. I'm white & her Daddy is Hispanic. She was sitting on the couch & said 'Mom we're white, (she's light skinned) but what color is Daddy?' I knew that she knew what she was asking was out of the ordinary & she wasn't going to let me go without an answer. So I said 'He's Daddy color' I was caught off guard & really didn't know how to answer her. So I thought about it & now my answer is: Everybody is brown! We're just different shades of brown. I showed her some freckles & said 'Look- I'm darker in spots than your Daddy is all over!' I showed her tan lines & showed her different colored people on TV. So, besides 1 incident in the grocery store this has worked pretty well. If anyone else has been through this please respond & give me some different point of views.

    Good morning and happy Friday to you!....oh.. I just read your mood and status. Sorry, hope the day gets better for you. Hey, it's Friday the 13th! che che che, hah hah hah, che che che, hah hah hah, creeepy huh? It's all good, I rolled in to work with no wrecks and no tickets, "no barkin from the dogs, no smog, and momma cooked a breakfast with no hog, today I didn't even have to use my AK, I got to say it was a good day." So I'm sittin here enjoying my morning ritual of BBQ chips and Diet Coke and HOLY CRAP I just burped so hard I think the barometer went up 2 points!!
    My co-workers were prairie dogging over their cubicles and everything! That was pretty impressive. Hey, they don't call me the Burpmaster General for nothing! (actually they don't call me that at all, only one of them did) I shaved my moustache off yesterday. It's only the 3rd time in 30 years that I've done that so now I'm getting reacquainted with my upper lip. It feels so weird I can't leave it alone. I like it though, I think I'll keep it this way. Well I better go get at it before our I.T. guy comes in and starts monitoring my internet use. Commie bastards.
